FALL 2025 DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Westside Youth Soccer Association has one underlying mission, and that is to be the top youth development club in the Okanagan.  We are pleased to launch revamped year-round programming to take us towards that lofty goal, and that will start with our Fall 2025 six week program. Designed with a strong emphasis on long-term player growth and skill mastery, this new Player Development Program at WYSA is built upon a philosophy that prioritizes individual player progression over short-term team results.

Our focus is on nurturing a love for the game while systematically developing the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological attributes necessary for long-term success. We believe this program will not only produce better soccer players but also well-rounded individuals.

The Fall program will feature:

  • Curriculum designed by our Technical Director
  • Coaching from our certified Staff Coaches
  • The best fields in the Okanagan (CNB grass will be our fall training base)
  • Small group training that will maximize individual attention and provide more touches on the ball
  • A supportive environment fostering a ‘development first’ growth mindset

Fall program groups:

  1) U4-U6 Development Academy (2022/2021/2020 birth years)

  2) U7-U13 Skill Centre Academy (2019-2013 birth years)

The WYSA fall training program for goalkeepers is on Friday nights. We are lucky to have former pro Tommy McGill run these sessions, with his support staff, for these 6 Friday nights in the fall. Tommy is currently the Director of Goalkeeping for Penticton Pinnacles FC, and also delivers goalkeeper programs to Okanagan FC. This program is free for players/keepers that are registered for a WYSA fall team or program, and those players should have a discount code to register for free. Head over to our registrations page to sign up!

Scheduled Friday night sessions will be Sept 5/12/19/26 + Oct 3/10. The U8-U12 group will train from 5pm-6pm, and the U13-U15 group will train from 6pm-7pm.

This program for U7-U18 recreational players will start on November 1. The program will involve free game play, where fun and enjoyment is the only pre-requisite to play. This is for recreational players to simply enjoy the game and experience a great indoor soccer experience. This program is not for select level players.
