WYSA is thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with Little Kickers Okanagan to launch a Spring Development Program for U4 and U5 boys and girls. This collaboration combines WYSA’s deep community roots with Little Kickers’ award-winning early childhood curriculum to provide the ultimate introduction to the "beautiful game" for West Kelowna’s youngest participants.
Starting April 17, 2026, the program is specifically designed to meet the developmental needs of children born in 2021 and 2022. By focusing on "Play not Push," the sessions will utilize creative, high-energy games to teach fundamental soccer skills such as dribbling, striking, and balance, while simultaneously fostering essential social skills like listening and teamwork. Little Kickers is an age-appropriate soccer program designed to introduce young children to the game through fun, simple activities that build confidence, coordination, and a lifelong love of sport.

Spring season starts early April through end of June. There will also be a secondary fall season in Sept/Oct for those interested, with details TBD.
The U6 age group will be slightly different, in that they don't play a weekend game. They only have Friday night sessions for 10 weeks.
All U6-U18 players will receive Joma game kit (shirt/short/socks), and also a practice shirt for U7-U18.
WYSA is always eager to find enough coaches. Training is provided, and coaches receive 50% of the registration fees back at the end of the spring season. Please note your interest during the registration process.

Here are all the frequently asked questions relating to registration for WYSA programs.
Is there a registration deadline date?
We expect many age groups to fill early so we suggest registering ASAP. If the registration link is open, we have space.
Will there be a waitlist if age groups are full?
Yes, WYSA will have a waitlist and will notify families when space opens up.
Can I apply for KidSport or Jumpstart funding?
All financial support programs can be found on the "funding assistance" tab on the registration page of the website.
What if I don't have a credit card, or can I pay cash in person?
While we don't accept cash or in-person registration, all registrants without a credit card can purchase a pre-paid credit card at most retail locations such as drug stores or grocery stores which can then be used for registration.
Where can I find information on other club programs such as camps or tournaments?
Our website is the source for all club info and program details.
Who can I contact if I have questions?
Our dedicated staff are here to assist. You can simply email your questions to ed@wysa.ca and we will reply ASAP.
Does WYSA offer select level programming, and how do I find out more info?
Yes, we offer Skills Centre programming for U7-U13 and Select teams for U14-U15 year round. To express interest in joining a future select level team, email td@wysa.ca. All players can also be evaluated in their recreational team environment for select level opportunities. WYSA has pathway relationships for players to eventually be identified to move onto the BCSPL level of play as well.
Now we are registered, what equipment do we need to play?
For U4-U6, players should wear running shoes and shin pads.
For U7-U18, shin pads and proper soccer boots should be worn (but no metal cleats).
OVERVIEW:
The Club’s refund policy is standard and will be applied consistently. The only considerations for exemption from the refund policy will be for medical reasons (see details below). It is very important that members review the club’s website, ask questions and plan schedules prior to registering.
The two most common refund requests the Club receives that are not approved for any reason are:
1) SCHEDULE:
(player/family change/conflict). The club tries to release a draft training schedule as early as possible. It is important to note that the club can't guarantee training day requests. The City of West Kelowna’s field allocation process does not become finalized until shortly before each season starts, which means that up until this time, the club can't finalize its’s final schedule.
2) REQUESTS:
(team/coach/players/friends). The club will accommodate team requests for spring play per our policies and on a best-efforts basis. Requests are not guaranteed to be accommodated.
For seasonal program registration (ie: outdoor or indoor programs), refunds will not be provided once the first practice or game takes place that you have registered for. Up to that time, there is a full refund less a $30 administrative fee.
For summer camps:
All cancellation requests received on or before March 31 qualify for a full refund (minus a $30 administrative processing fee).
All cancellation requests received between April 1 and June 30 are subject to a $50 cancellation fee per participant.
No refunds will be provided from July 1 to the end of the camp for any reason.
MEDICAL EXCEPTIONS:
A long-term/season-ending injury as determined by a medical doctor, with applicable evidence to support, will be eligible for a 25% credit to a future program. No refunds will be available.
HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND:
1. Review this policy page in full to confirm you meet eligibility
2. Email info@wysa.ca with the subject line 'refund request' and then outline your details and request
3. Wait for a reply from a WYSA Staff Member who will review your refund request within 5 business days. If we need more details, we will contact you.

athletics4kids
All across BC, hundreds of children and youth are denied the opportunity to participate in amateur sports due to one simple fact: lack of funds.
As a privately funded charity, we are able to get dollars into the hands of those who need it most, quickly and effectively. We help families bear the expense of having their children participate in organized sports because we believe that all kids should have the chance to play.
The support of A4K is available province-wide for children ages 5 to 18 who are currently enrolled in school. Basic registration fees are paid for a multitude of approved sports, up to an annual maximum of $350 per child (which is considerably higher than other sport funding charities).
